Abstract
Tuberculosis (TB) is an important cause of morbidity and mortality. This study attempts to determine the prevalence of TB in autopsies. Of 768 autopsies, 39 cases were diagnosed as TB. These were retrieved and re-examined. It was noted that in a significant number of patients with TB was only revealed after autopsy. This has important implications as they may well have been a source of transmission to the general public and health-care providers.Entities:
