G E Trott1, T Elliger, P Kerscher, G Nissen.

Abstract

Anorexia is a common psychiatric condition of childhood and adolescence in which, apart from the striking psychopathology, somatic complications are frequently seen. The secondary somatic findings, however, are sometimes overlooked. This case report describes a 17-year-old girl in whom, during an episode of bulimia dilatation of the stomach occurred, which presented clinically as perforation.
