Clinical trials for glaucoma neuroprotection are not impossible.

Harry A Quigley1.

Abstract

PURPOSE OF REVIEW: To discuss issues that affect development of new glaucoma treatments known as neuroprotection. RECENT
FINDINGS: There are barriers to neuroprotection trials for glaucoma.
SUMMARY: With design features discussed in the review, neuroprotection trials can be effectively carried out.
