Abstract
Clearly visible: A water-soluble and highly fluorescent perylenediimide is synthesized via ruthenium-catalyzed alkylation with outstanding yields. For the first time, the possibility to use phosphonate derivatives in a Murai-type reaction is demonstrated.Entities:
