Sir, In reference to the comments made by the respected reader,[12] I would like to bring to her attention that we are not using the gallium scan in the routine work up of patients with leukemia and its use in this particular patient was to gather data with using several diagnostic tests to work out the cause of her symptoms and gallium scan was one of these tests. In relation to the second comment, I agree with what she said and careful clinical examination should raise the possibility of co-existence of thyroiditis with leukemia. I hope that will answer the readers’ queries. Thank you
