Abstract
Rumphi District Hospital in Northern Malawi had no emergency triage, assessment or treatment system for the over 5 year olds. Eighty healthcare workers were trained on the South African Triage Scale, which was then implemented within a modified outpatient department. Provision of medical equipment and construction of an emergency room took place to allow early life saving treatment.Entities:
