BAP1tism of a tumor suppressor.

Scott E Woodman1.

Abstract

Driving cancer cells into a more differentiated state is a rational therapeutic approach. Primary uveal melanoma cells with a propensity to metastasize have less-differentiated features than their less aggressive counterparts. Treatment of uveal melanoma cells with histone deacetylase inhibitors induces a more differentiated phenotype with resultant lower growth capacity. ©2011 AACR.
