Abstract
UNLABELLED: Vocal fold immobility may be due to bilateral neurogenic paralysis, cricoarytenoid joint fixation, laryngeal synechiae, or posterior glottic stenosis. Treatment aims to establish a patent airway and preserve the function of the glottic sphincter and voice quality.Entities:

Classification of Posterior Glottic Stenosis (Bogdasarian & Olson).
| TYPE I | Glottis – interarytenoid scar, normal posterior commissure |
| TYPE II | Interarytenoid scar and posterior commissure scar |
| TYPE III | Posterior commissure scar involving a cricoarytenoid joint |
| TYPE IV | Posterior commissure scar involving both cricoarytenoid joints |
