Abstract
Up to 25 million children and adolescents in the United States participate in some type of organized sports activity each year. Most of these young athletes receive an annual preparticipation physical examination. The purpose of the examination is to identify any conditions that might interfere with the athlete's ability to participate in a given sport. The criteria for disqualification are different for each sport.Entities:
