Abstract
To overcome problems of systemic toxicity associated with chemotherapy and enhance treatment resolution of cancer therapies, nanotechnology is increasingly providing many novel approaches, especially to energy-based cancer therapies. Enhancements to treatment targeting, the ability to facilitate combined therapies, and treatment imaging are but a few of the ongoing investigations in this ever growing field. This review briefly explores the modalities of energy-based cancer therapies, how nanotechnology has been allowed for improvements within them, and discusses potential future applications of combined therapies.Entities:
