Complex ankle fracture dislocations with syndesmotic diastasis.

Abstract

Ankle fracture dislocations with fibular "diastasis" require anatomic reduction and usually internal fixation for acceptable clinical results. This review discusses anatomic, radiologic, and clinical aspects in the treatment of these injuries. Clinical examples are given.
