Factors and networks that underpin early hematopoiesis.

Multiple trajectories have recently been described through which hematopoietic progenitor cells travel prior to becoming lineage-committed effectors. A wide spectrum of transcription factors has recently been identified that modulate developmental progression along such trajectories.
