Abstract
We have described a patient with invasive pulmonary penicilliosis, documented by thoracotomy and cured with amphotericin B. Penicillium sp isolates in immunosuppressed patients should not be disregarded without a thorough investigation, especially if normally sterile sites are involved. Amphotericin B therapy may be successful, especially if accompanied by a reversal or moderation of immunosuppression.Entities:
