Abstract
This protocol describes an ELISA-based method for assaying serum levels of autoantibodies reactive with neuropeptides. The method allows for measuring relative amounts of free and bound, i.e., those present in immune complexes, autoantibodies using two types of sample buffers providing normal and dissociative conditions, respectively. This method can be applied to measure autoantibody levels directed against other than neuropeptide molecules and in a variety of biological fluids.Mesh:
