Abstract
The first asymmetric synthesis of natural indole alkaloid (+)-decursivine was accomplished. The key step involves the PIFA-mediated intramolecular [3 + 2] cycloaddition of 5-hydroxytryptophan with a substituted cinnamamide in a highly diastereoselective manner.Entities:
