Abstract
Alterations in diet are an important component of the lifestyle changes recommended to reduce blood pressure in patients with hypertension. This article provides an overview of healthy eating guidelines, reviews evidence for making specific types of dietary change with the aim of lowering blood pressure and outlines the nurse's role in supporting patients to make any changes.Entities:
