Abstract
We report a case of recurrent mania who developed catatonia and was found to be markedly hyponatraemia. The catatonic symptoms showed rapid resolution following correction of hyponatraemia suggesting a causal link between the two. It is suggested that the estimation of serum electrolyte levels should be an important part of the evaluation of cases of catatonia.Entities:
