Titanium nitride catalyst cathode in a Li-air fuel cell with an acidic aqueous solution.

Ping He1, Yonggang Wang, Haoshen Zhou.

Abstract

TiN was used as an oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalyst in a Li-air fuel cell with a non-aqueous/acidic aqueous hybrid electrolyte. The electrochemical properties of the TiN based catalyst and the single cell were extensively investigated. It is suggested that TiN has considerable electrochemical catalytic activity for Li-air fuel cells in a weak acidic solution. This journal is © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2011
