Represents the number of samples in which virus was detected as the sole pathogen (excepting samples analysed for mixed infections).
Thirteen HRV positive samples were untyped.

Total for all viruses includes disease burden of mixed infections, which are not shown as only a proportion of samples were tested for mixed infections, but are included as this gives a closer estimate of the total disease burden of respiratory viruses.
In 16–64 year olds, no infections with PIV-1, HMPV or HRVs were associated with respiratory presentations, and in over 65 year olds, no single infections with PIV-2 were identified.
