Abstract
A novel enzyme for DNA dephosphorylation, HK phosphatase, is completely and irreversibly inactivated at 65 degrees C. HK phosphatase treatment of BamHI-digested pBR322 reduces nonrecombinants in cloning experiments to approx. 5% of transformant colonies.Mesh:
