Techniques for managing poor quality tissue and bone during arthroscopic rotator cuff repair.

Patrick J Denard1, Stephen S Burkhart.

Abstract

Arthroscopic rotator cuff repair can be challenged by poor soft-tissue or bone quality. Both biologic and biomechanical factors have been widely implicated in rotator cuff retearing after arthroscopic repair. In this Level V article, we describe several techniques for arthroscopically overcoming these challenges.
