Abstract
Advances in the treatment of status epilepticus (SE) in the past decade have significantly improved the prognosis for this condition. Although currently available intervention techniques can eliminate mortality attributable to seizures, death associated with SE is usually caused by the disorder that precipitated the SE. Therefore, since currently available drugs for the treatment of SE possess significant shortcomings, new treatment modalities must be developed.Entities:
