Abstract
Recurrent pelvic organ prolapse occurs rarely after obliterative procedures. The optimal surgical approach for therapy is unknown. We describe a case of recurrent prolapse after LeFort colpocleisis. The patient presented with stage III prolapse through the lateral vaginal channel. At surgery, the prolapse was repaired using a modified repeat colpocleisis and repeat perineorrhaphy. Transvaginal revision via modified repeat colpocleisis should be considered for treatment of recurrent pelvic organ prolapse after LeFort colpocleisis.Entities:
