Diffusion of small molecules inside a peptide hydrogel.

Yue Feng1, Manfai Lee, Marc Taraban, Y Bruce Yu.

Abstract

A set of four phenylalanine analogues experiences diffusion retardation when transferred from phosphate-buffered saline into a peptide hydrogel of the same pH and ionic strength. The extent of retardation increases linearly with logP(oct), their lipophilicity. This journal is © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2011
