Contractions of the longitudinal and circular muscle of the small intestine.

Abstract

Phasic and tonic contractions of the longitudinal and circular muscle were shown in this report. These two forms of contraction may show the basic properties of the movement of small intestine. The role of the myenteric plexus to the longitudinal and circular muscle was partially clarified.
