Abstract
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have recently been found to be critical regulators of metabolic homeostasis. A study in Nature by Trajkovski et al. (2011) shows that the highly related miRNAs miR-103 and miR-107 modulate insulin sensitivity and glucose homeostasis in obese mice. These miRNAs might represent therapeutic targets to ameliorate obesity-associated insulin resistance.Entities:
