Abstract
We report the first case of a prosthetic joint infection caused by Gemella sanguinis. This report includes a description of a "pseudosatelliting" phenomenon by G. sanguinis, the use of gene sequencing for pathogen identification, and successful use of debridement, retention, and chronic antibiotic suppression to preserve the prosthesis.Entities:
