[Oncological health services research: a possibility for improvement of intersectoral collaboration].

A Weber1, M S Michel.

Abstract

The number of patients with cancer disease is increasing because of a lower mortality rate. Facing diminishing resources quality management and health services research in the field of uro-oncology have to accomplish this challenge. Optimized and short procedures in health care as well as valid collection of health care data by the methods of health services research make intersectoral solutions necessary. Keeping an eye on the public health care regulations, those members of urological health services need to be recruited and professionally equipped who are able to develop intersectoral urological health services for the future.
