Abstract
Polycrystalline anatase TiO(2) films with high-reactivity {001} facets were grown on transparent conductive fluorine-doped tin dioxide substrates. The hydrothermal synthesis method relied on capping and stabilization of the high-energy {001} surfaces with hydrofluoric acid (HF), which was generated in situ through hydrolysis of TiF(4).
