Abstract
Ovine prolactin (oPRL) increased serum somatomedin (SM) bioactivity in hypophysectomized female rats. ACTH, in small but not large doses, augmented this oPRL effect. These results suggest that in the female rat PRL may regulate SM production. Adrenal factors may variably modulate SM production or serum SM bioactivity.Entities:
