Abstract
Thirty patients with Bipolar affective disorder who were on Lithium therapy for 6 months to 24 months, were tested for any alteration in their thyroid function. Eight (26.67%) patients had elevated serum TSH level and four (13.33%) patients had decreased serum T(4) level than the normal range. Serum T(3), although showing a declining trend was found within the normal range in all the patients.Entities:
