[Investigation of platelets by the flow cytofluorometric technique (a review of literature). Part 2].

A I Mininkova.

Abstract

The paper reviews literature updates on the examination of platelets by the flow cytofluorometric technique; it analyzes in detail the effect of various anticoagulants used to stabilize blood, the time and conditions of sample storage at the preanalytical stage of studies on the results of an analysis. Different platelet subpopulations detected by the flow cytofluorometric technique are described and their clinical value is shown. The clinical importance of reticular platelet tests is separately considered. This technique is acknowledged to be currently of urgency in estimation of platelets.
