Abstract

Pores for improved catalysis: Mesoporous Pt nanoparticles (MPNs) with large surface areas are created within 10 min by a very simple, one-step, aqueous reaction at room temperature. The obtained MPNs exhibit significantly enhanced catalytic activity toward the methanol oxidation reaction.
