Abstract
Periscapular abcess is an extremely rare clinical condition. Diagnosis and treatment can be delayed because the clinical picture often resembles septic arthritis of the shoulder. Early diagnosis and prompt surgical treatment are mandatory, as delayed treatment can be fatal due to sepsis. Previously, four cases of periscapular abcess were described in English literature. We describe two pediatric patients with periscapular abcess, who were treated surgically and healed without any complication.Entities:
