Abstract
The development of quantum dot (QD) technology represents one of the most dramatic advances in flow cytometry history, offering the opportunity for highly multiplexed experiments and allowing better resolution of dimly staining markers. Here, we guide users through the technical aspects of using QDs (including instrumentation and antibody conjugation), demonstrate why QDs are useful in multicolor flow cytometry, and describe some of the challenges investigators may face when adopting this technology.Mesh:
