Organosilica nanotubes: large-scale synthesis and encapsulation of metal nanoparticles.

Abstract

In this communication we have demonstrated the synthesis of organosilica nanotubes with inner diameter of ∼6 nm and their carbonization to form carbon/silica composite nanotubes. Pd nanoparticles. encapsulated in the organosilica and carbon/silica nanotubes show different catalytic activities in the hydrogenation of cyclohexene.
