Abstract
We report a case of concurrent diphtheria and infectious mononucleosis in an 11-year-old Brazilian child. Two days after specific treatment for diphtheria was started the patient was discharged following clinical recovery. This case highlights the difficulties in the clinical diagnosis of diphtheria in partially immunized individuals, and for the management and control of diphtheria in developing countries.Entities:
