Abstract
We present 2 patients with hyperferritinemia, increased liver iron and hemochromatosis-associated HFE genotypes. At diagnosis, both patients had chronic anemia that prevented initiation of phlebotomy. Iron chelation with deferasirox proved to be a safe and effective means of substantially lowering ferritin levels.Entities:
