Abstract

Temperature is one of the fundamental characteristics of tissue metabolism and is certainly of major interest to investigate ocular physiology. Current instrumentation offers the potential to measure the ocular surface temperature (OST) with high accuracy and resolution. Potential applications of OST measurement may include any condition of the ocular surface. The present study gives a survey of the possible applications of thermography and describes our first experience with the new Tomey TG 1000. © Georg Thieme Verlag KG Stuttgart · New York.
