Abstract
Mice naturally infected with Syphacia obvelata were challenged intracaecally with Entamoeba histolytica trophozoites. They showed a higher level of amoebic infection than mice without worms. Mice with the heaviest Syphacia infection were the most susceptible to amoebic infection. It appears that a concomitant infection with helminthic parasites residing in the caecum alters the outcome of an amoebic infection.Entities:
