Sonographic visualization of a scapular body fracture: a case report.

Bradley M McCrady1, Michael P Schaefer.

Abstract

We report the case of a scapular body fracture that was visualized with ultrasound and confirmed with three-dimensional CT. Ultrasound examination showed a comminuted fracture along the lateral border of the left scapula. We suggest scanning of the scapula, particularly the lateral scapula border, in patients with a history of shoulder trauma who continue to have symptoms in the shoulder girdle.
