Abstract
We treated a 27-year-old pregnant woman with Borrmann type IV gastric cancer and immunohistochemically detected micrometastasis of cancer cells in the bone marrow. Total gastrectomy combined with splenectomy was followed by postoperative chemotherapy. Despite intensive treatment, she died with tumor progression 6 months later. When malignant cells are present in the bone marrow, the prognosis is poor. The literature on gastric cancer associated pregnancy is reviewed.Entities:
