Abstract
A strategy for the stepwise annulation of pyrrolic rings of a porphyrin to imidazole rings is presented. Mono(imidazole), Janus and corner bis(imidazole), T-shaped tris(imidazole), and tetrakis(imidazole) porphyrins have been synthesized and characterized.Entities:
