The title dinuclear complex, [EuNi(C(19)H(20)N(2)O(4))(NO(3))(3)(CH(3)OH)(2)]·2CH(3)OH, is isostructural with its Ni(II)/Pr(III) analogue. The Ni(II) ion is coordinated by two O atoms and two N atoms of a Schiff base ligand and by two methanol mol-ecules, forming a slightly distorted octa-hedral geometry. The Eu(III) ion is coordinated by six O atoms from three chelating nitrate ligands and four O atoms from a Schiff base ligand, forming a distorted bicapped square-anti-prismatic environment. Inter-molecular O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect complexes and methanol solvent mol-ecules.
