Abstract
Pharmacotherapy is effective in decreasing the incidence of osteoporotic fracture, morbidity, and mortality. This benefit is pronounced in patients at highest risk for fracture: those with prior osteoporotic fracture, very low bone mineral density, or receiving chronic corticosteroid treatment. We review the best pharmacotherapeutic options currently available for treating osteoporosis.Entities:
