Malignant degeneration of dermal cylindroma.

D C Hammond1, K F Grant, W D Simpson.

Abstract

Dermal cylindroma is a rare tumor of the cutaneous appendage system, which can undergo aggressive malignant transformation. Clinically this change can manifest as ulceration. The histological features of malignant degeneration are well defined. When these changes occur, prompt excisional biosy or reexcision with clear surgical margins is indicated.
