Sjögren's syndrome: no demonstrable association by serology of secondary Sjögren's syndrome with cytomegalovirus.

C Scully1.

Abstract

The possible relationship between Sjögren's syndrome (SS) and cytomegalovirus (CMV) was examined using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay of serum antibodies. Patients with secondary SS did not have significantly different CMV antibodies compared with matched healthy controls.
