Abstract
The CCND2 and FGF6 genes are both located at band p13 of human chromosome 12. The two genes are coamplified in some cases (3.6%) of breast tumors. They are physically linked within a 500 kb genomic segment. Thus, both 11q13 and 12p13 chromosomal regions host related linked cyclin and FGF genes, and can be amplified in human tumors. This strengthens the hypothesis of genome duplication involving chromosomes 11 and 12.Entities:
