Abstract
Many tumors continuously depend on the initiating oncogenes, but whether this extends to their downstream targets is unclear. In this issue of Genes & Development, Sodir and colleagues (pp. 907-916) demonstrate an essential role for endogenous Myc proteins in maintaining the tumor microenvironment, providing an unexpected molecular explanation for addiction to Myc.Entities:
