Abstract
We investigated the efficacy of narrow band imaging, magnifying chromoendoscopy, autofluorescence imaging and photodynamic diagnosis for surveillance colonoscopy or work-up in patients with ulcerative colitis. Endoscopic differential diagnosis between sporadic neoplasia and colitis-associated dysplasia or cancer, however, is still an important issue in practice. Optimization of surveillance colonoscopy, including development of novel methods, should be addressed in the near future.Entities:
